" Marxism & Period Pains is a bold and pedagogical exploration of the intersections between class, labour, and gender. The film offers audiences a lens through which to interrogate the often invisible costs of reproductive and bodily labour in contemporary society.
By connecting intimate bodily experiences to broader structures of exploitation, the film highlights how, for women, working conditions extract labour even from what is unpaid, unrecognised, and socially essential. In making visible the connections between physical pain and structural oppression, the film invites dialogue, empathy, and urgent questioning of societal norms. "​
